Repair of an Antique Extra Large Betty Boop Doll [Restoration]

Requested item: 100cm polyresin Betty Boop doll

Damage: Arm broken and shattered

[Before]

My arm is broken and in pieces.

It seems necessary to make it strong enough to support the heavy wooden tray.

First, connect the pieces together.

Since adhesive alone is not strong enough, a fiber sheet is also used to reinforce the back.

Everything is now connected.

The pieces are not perfectly aligned, so there are small gaps.

Fill the gaps with putty and sand it down to make it even.

Repaint the color and it's done.

If I painted it in one solid color, that area would look brand new, so I added thin layers that recreated dirt and burns to match the texture of the surrounding area.

Thanks to the reinforcement, you can easily carry heavy trays.
